Freewheelin' - yeah I have been a fan too since his time with John Mayal and the Bluesbreakers! I saw him San Diego a few years back too, with Derek Trucks jammin' along... amazing!

I have liked Clapton since I heard him play with John Mayall. Followed his music for a long time. I like the Cream and Blind Faith a lot. The 1st disk from Cream is one of my favorite albums. One reason why is I saw them just after they put that album out, an awesome show. Did anyone else manage to see the Cream? Or is that dating me :)

i happen to like the songs ''hello old friend '' , ''blues power '' , ''let it grow '' , ect .. i can't decide when it comes to clapton .whether he's in a group or solo , he's a great artist overall.

i think he's pretty damn amazing solo, but "disreali gears" is one of my top five favorite albums i dont think he'll ever be able to top that, but no matter what he's in i think he's one of the best musicians alive

ClaptonLayla - interesting - do you actually know Eric Clapton pretty well? How did you end up being good friends?

One of my favourites is Cream's 'Sunshine of Your Love". It has a wonderful, relentless feel. The guitar solo is great, the drumming is inspired, the bass is unstoppable and the lyrics are erotically suggestive. A classic rock gem!

have you guys heard the collaboration album he did with b.b. king? i think it was "riding with the king" i was like on song one and it was still better than anything i've listened to on the radio in a long while, i love the blues because people express what's in their soul, i can relate to it more than any other genre, oh and layla is the greatest riff in the history of the guitar, i do not understand why they had the piano half in there though, that should have been another song. just my opinion
