I have liked Clapton since I heard him play with John Mayall. Followed his music for a long time. I like the Cream and Blind Faith a lot. The 1st disk from Cream is one of my favorite albums. One reason why is I saw them just after they put that album out, an awesome show. Did anyone else manage to see the Cream? Or is that dating me :)

ClaptonLayla - interesting - do you actually know Eric Clapton pretty well? How did you end up being good friends?

One of my favourites is Cream's 'Sunshine of Your Love". It has a wonderful, relentless feel. The guitar solo is great, the drumming is inspired, the bass is unstoppable and the lyrics are erotically suggestive. A classic rock gem!

Clapton is my fav. Laya is my favorite song and the album is my favorite ( also because Duanne Allman is on it pushing Eric to both there best ). All phases of his career were outstanding. Although my fav was DErek and Dominos, then Cream and definately the Blues era. I saw the Blues show at MSG in NY in 94..That was my best show of him, Gary from Florida

I've always loved the song "Layla" to bad it was about George Harrison's ex lady Pattie Boyd. Oh well great song. Clapton will always be one of my fav's.
