  • Absolutely love the early Chicago especially I-III, but through 7. I agree with Tony from then on-yawn! But they had started down that road before Terry's death-RIP surely missed.
  • I always wished Terry, Peter and Danny had formed a power trio...

glen can you find a  copy of that tune and post the link here or embed it ?? plz - I would love to hear that song with terry kath going a bit crazy.. interesting rant and yeah politics and business as usual in USA. Mainstream news is now an extended version of what we used to call National Enquirer news. Unfortunately, its all true and just gets crazier by the hour..

the 1st album has a song with Terry kath going crazy called guitar something that was his venting his emotions about the oppression Vietnam War this was during the turbulent Democratic Convention where the CPD jsut beat anyone that even looked at them wrong. Fear and oppresion were their tools to quiet the mostly peacfulI protests. I  think they already murdered a sleeping Fred Hampton another person that was bucking the trend like others who just wanted equal rights and were anti war.remember even John Lennon along with MLK were on the CIAs 10 most dangerous list.i think at different times both were number 1!! A musical artist and a preacher for peace and they were considered enemies of America and the people? Sounds more like dangers to the NWO and  totalitarian servitude system. Just recently they used a few hundred Chicago police at 1 of Obama s political things down south. This was while Chicago was crying they didnt have enough police percentage wise as their murder rate soared. I know I livedd their and neighborhoods without anything dont get any police support other then body bags after the killings.America sleeps and the crimes are becoming more dire & frequent nobody asks why. Business as usual in America the land of the free to think and do as they tell you lol

Thx for the info Glen. No, I was not aware of that. I was listening to them when they were pretty mainstream. I remember hearing a lot of their songs on the radio.

DMark & Karen did you know many of Chicagos early songs were actually protest songs about what was going down.as with my thing about music they formed during the turbulent late 60's in Chicago on Depauls campus. Many of their even sweet  syrupy lyrics had double meanings and they were protest songs.another similar band that was forgotten but probably even more talented but not managed right from the same period same jaz rock fusion style was a band called the Flock.John Mclaughlin hear jerry goodman on viloin and recruited him for his monumental fusion lps.The Flock werent managed right but were very talented to say the least. i posted some somehwere lol

No i'm not complaining but many times especially with certain artists they just lose their edge that first brought them stardom.Aerosmith is one especially and REO Speedwagon Scorpions Rush Chicago BOC  etc.I never complain music is like the last place anyone has an actual choice.that is if it made available to the masses. So many are sadly hidden or mistakenly managed to obscurity.Others are content just pklaying wherever with whomever.I have met so many talented artists that turned away from music to pursue a simple life. Most had bad drug problems and knew they wouldnt survive living the RR life.Or sobriety was their main priority which for some has to be before anything. I never judge anyone for what they listen to.music makes the world go around Ill spin mine my way you spin yours your way and if we can not agreee I have headphones. Which I actually had to wear for the first time in my life on a regular basis at night when my ex wanted to go to sleep and I wanted to cover up the noise of the cars .It was like wearing a raincoat while doing you know what lol Actually I even liked the headphones I had.Because of the layout of the room and they were some austrain well made ones that sounded heavenly.I thought that was strange because sex sure doesnt feel right in a raincoat lol
