I saw them as pop also. The Beatles may have been concerned because  DC5 hit "Glad All Over" knocked  "I Want To Hold Your Hand" out of the number spot on UK singles chart. Glad All Over was one of my favorite DC5 Tunes. My older brother loved DC5 so I got an overdose of DC5 before I was introduced to bands like Zeppelin and Pink Floyd.

I always saw them as strictly pop. The Beatles did pop, but there was an awful lot more to them as we were all to find out. Denis Payton, Rick Huxley and Mike Smith have all passed away, leaving just two members of the original band. Dave Clark is also a very successful and wealthy business man.

Remember seeing them a lot on the old Ed Sullivan show. Heard once that they were the one band that the Beatles were worried about back in the day. Glad to see them inducted in the rock n' roll hall of fame awhile back.

I dont think I saw this movie either. I wasn't a big DC5 fan. Heard them a lot on the radio..
