Love that one!!

With my name I've had to endure Toni Basil's "Mickey" which, according to VH1, is the #1, one-hit-wonder of all time.

Oh if you could hear some of the names I have called Toni Basil for this tripe. Although... the butch cheerleaders in the video were kinda fascinating.

Bit of trivia - Toni Basil was the dark haired hooker in the New Orleans cemetery scene in the movie Easy Rider. She also directed and choreographed the Talking Heads video - Once in a Lifetime.

I always liked this song a lot and it instantly brings me back to the summer of '69.  Listen to the words.  Definitely some truth in this, LOL.

Another favourite from the summer of '69.  Instant flashback! :-D

I actually have this on my iTOUCH and love to crank it up. May even do a little Karaoke if there is enough antifreeze.

Here's one.... Question Mark and the Mysterians

Rare video clip from Detroit's 'Swingin' Time' - 1966.

The dude almost looks like John Kay with those fostergrants...

This guy has become quite the eccentric. He had his name legally changed to "Question Mark".

To his friends he's known simply as "Q" but to his parents he may be still remembered as Rudy Martinez.  He lost pretty much everything he had in a fire a few years back.

Incense and Peppermints by Strawberry Alarm Clock.

Their lead guitar player went on to join Lynard Skynard.

A few more off the top of my old brain...

Bang A Gong - T.Rex (US censures didn't like the title "Get It On".. so what)..I listen to it all the time while I'm driving.

Pushin' Too Hard - The Seeds (LA band with great beat and licks..always wished they had more stuff)

Rock You Like A Hurricane - The Scorpions (great German rockers..ausgezeichnet!)

Gloria - The Shadows of Knight (Them's version was great but this version had more of a edge with that fuzzy feedback..garage band stable)

Electric Avenue - Eddie Grant (MTV mega hit..."then were going to take you higher"..)

Ausgezeichnet - JA!!  We saw Scorpions performing their "Farewell Tour" in Toronto last summer, 2nd row centre.  Bloody fantastic!!

"House of the Rising Sun" by Frijid Pink.  Rocked, then they went away.
