Classic Rockers Network

Classic Rock Fan Community: Led Zep, Rolling Stones, Beatles, Doors & More

Hey all - I just started this forum topic so that everyone on here can introduce themselves, and tell the world all about their classic rock passion!

Anyway, I am the Founder of this website, so here is all about me...

My name is Rich Page, and I have been into classic rock since I was 15. I have always wanted to create a classic rock fan website - and created my first classic rock website in 1996 (when the internet was just a baby) all about the Doors. I was very proud of it.

Back in January 2008, I decided to get ambitious and create a classic rock online community! And so, classic rockers network was born!

To tell you a little bit more about me, I am originally from England, and now live in Hollywood, after spending 6 years in San Diego. In addition to being a hugely passionate classic rock fan, I also love improving websites and lucky for me my regular job lets me do that - I am a web analyst for Disney Online. I also love watching and collecting great movies, doing karaoke (badly), bowling, eating great food (love mexican and sushi in particular). So that's about it.

Lets hear from all you other classic rock fans out there! Start introducing yourselves...

Hello all, my name is Julian Medrano and I am originally from Houston, Tx but retired to here in the Tampa Bay area after 29 years of service in the US Coast Guard. I've been married to my one and only for 26 years and have 4 beautiful babies. Since I've retired I have been loving life and enjoying the time I have been able to spend with my family. Also, I will be going to college as a full time student starting in August.

I have been a huge music lover since forever partly due to me playing drums for as long as I can remember. It's hard to fathom now that the music I loved as a kid is considered "classic rock" when it seems like yesterday I was trying to jam along with songs on my 8-track lol My favorite band of all is RUSH and have seen them 11 times in concert! My other favorite bands are Black Sabbath, Thin Lizzy, Foghat, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and on and on and on. As I said I play drums and have played in a few bands through the years but nothing serious. I am currently playing a couple of Open Mic  Nights as the "house drummer" and have been asked to join a couple of bands, so we'll see what happens with that.

My love for music has transferred to my kids as well, that as a matter of fact we as a family in our home are in the middle of creating our Medrano Family TOP 100 Classic Rock songs of all time! My kids are huge music lovers and so proud of it. Just to give an example when my youngest was 10 years old, we took a trip to Orlando and without her knowing I listened back to her singing War Pigs :) lol

Anyways, I am ALWAYS on here and always rockin' it out. It's always good to meet like minded people so feel free to say hello! ROCK ON \M/

"Rock and Roll can never die" and we must keep the music alive!

Hey thats awesome that your kids like Classic Rock. Because, I really don't know too many kids my age that like Classic Rock. Awesome!!

hi im Newell and i love Classic Rock!

yeah, man!

I guess the real story of me getting into Classic Rock is this:

I always hated The Beatles as a small kid. (I had horrible Musical Taste) Anyway, All of my sisters Loved them and tried to get me to like them. I was so stubborn and for two years I stayed that way. Then one day, i heard he song Yellow Submarine and ever since then I have Loved The Beatles and Classic Rock more than anyone else!

Hah! You can never have enough Beatles! 8)

Hi, i'm a girl.

Hello, all. My name is Pat,48 year old loser, who has music as his only love.It NEVER let's you down, does it? Stuck firmly in thye '70's. Suppose cos I was most happiest then, plus the music was oh so good!

Live in jolly (not!) old England. Land of the Beatles,in fact.

Carry on......

Hey there- my name is Pat Holland - I'm totally stoked to find this site. I 'm in a band and I love playing the classic rock tunes- and hearing what people who like classic rock are in to. I've been to so many different shows and they have been the best times of my life- I'm a carpenter /builder and love doing it but music is my passion in life. Can't get enough of this stuff.   c ya     Purple Haze Pat Holland
