I'd say they were but that's my personal opinion. I love In-a-Gadda-Da-Vida. One of my favs.

Yep - I would have to agree - while Iron Butterfly didn't really get very popular, they certainly fit the classic rock 'sound' and era.
Iron Butterfly is one of the pioneers of Classic Rock and Heavy metal many of today's and past
Bands have been influenced by them. Great Music!
