Classic Rock Fan Community: Led Zep, Rolling Stones, Beatles, Doors & More

There are so many amazing classic rock songs out there - thousands and thousands to choose from, let alone pick your favorites. I know my favorites change often depending on what i'm into at the moment. At the moment, I am really loving a song from Led Zeppelin II - 'Lemon Song', and I'm also loving 'The Changeling' from The Doors L.A. Woman album, and a classic by The Animals - 'House of the Rising Sun'. What are everyone else's favorite classic rock songs at the moment - or to put it another way, whats being played heavily on your classic rock play lists right now? Let's hear from you all!

I ALWAYS listen to my iPod on my morning drive. The songs I'd say I listen to every morning is "Heartbreaker" and "I can't quit you, Baby. by Led Zeppelin. Others that are in heavy rotation are The Beatles "Taxman", The Doors "Peace Frogs" and Jimi Hendrix's rendition of the "Star Spangled Banner."
Hmmm, right now.
Kashmir(Led Zeppelin), The rain song(Led Zeppelin), The ghost song(The Doors), One more cup of coffee(Dylan), Julia dream(Pink Floyd), Summertime(Janis Joplin).
Hi,

Right now....heavy rotation probably including "Hotel California"; "Sweet Home Alabama"; "Simple Man"; "Telegraph Road"; "25 or 6 to 4"; "Feelin' Stronger Every Day".

It changes often, but currently diggin on:

"Tangerine" by Led Zeppelin
"Magic Man" by Heart
"Marquee Moon" by Television
"Dream On" by Aerosmith
"Refugee" by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers

Songs I have been into lately are:

"Dr. Jimmy" - The Who. It's one of may favorite Who songs. I am hoping The Who will tour and plays Quadrophenia like the rumors I have heard.

"Spirit of Radio" - Rush. One of the few songs I can recite every word.

"Wish You Were Here" - Pink Floyd. A great acoustic number that I never tire of.

My name is Florin, I am a Doctoral student in Toronto, Canada. I wish to know your thoughts and feelings, and to learn about the reasons you attend live performances, about the kind of experience you are having while attending rock concerts.

Let me know how was it, just go to: www.digitalvaluelab.com

I am grateful for your willingness to participate in this study, where I work with colleagues at Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada, and University of Innsbruck in Austria. I hope to hear from you. Thanks!

I visited the website. Not sure why this would warrant a study. People visit concerts (help me people) to be close with the persons that made their favorite music. It's not rocket science You get a "high" feeling listening to music live and to experience this with 10- 20,000 of the people who feel just like you.

Richard,

Thanks for your comments and for visiting the website!

There is a variety of reasons to attend and then enjoy (or not) a live performance. You mentioned a couple, and I would like to learn more, and from few other people. I also hope you can take some time and complete the survey, so to better understand what is that you really find valuable in the experience of seeing the Rolling Stones, or U2, or your favorites live.

Thanks again

For the past couple of weeks (not constantly lol) I have been Jamming to House of the Rising sun - Frigid Pink version. The intro is so dirty sounding (guitar wise) and soooo cool I can't get enough of it.

Here lately it been all Ronnie James Dio.My favorite would be the stuff with Sabbath. The album Heaven and Hell still rocks my world to this day.The song "Falling Off the Edge of the World" and "Over and Over" are my favorite tracks from that era.Although "Stargazer" and "A Light in the Black" from Rainbow are pretty Awesome too.

right now - Hotel California - I saw the Eagles 10 days ago at their only UK gig in 2011 - they were great, but I prefer to watch my live video of them playing Hotel California dating back probably to mid seventies.

The interplay between Don Felder and Joe Walsh is sublime - I'd upload it, but its 70Mb and I can't find it on YouTube.
