Pink Floyd's "Time" makes me wanna kill myself! But for me, the most depressing song is King Crimson's "I talk to the wind"...

Dark Side of the Moon has many good depressing songs...Us and Them...for example...but a song who get's me in a better mood is Atom Heart Mother...

I also thought about The Rain Song...the acoustic guitar..so loveley! Carpet Crawlers is also good...I agree with WIsh you were here gives me also more a warm feeling than a sad one!

Oohhhhh! For me there's no contest, it has to be 'In My Life' by The Beatles.  Gets me blubberin' every single time I hear it!  It's a lovely song.  It has to be played at my funeral!! 

The song that gets me smiling, Sweet Child O' Mine - The Stone Roses.

Also, there's allways Hazard by Richard Marx. (You'll probably not think it's a classic in the true sense of the word but it has allways pulled at my heartstrings ever since it was released.

"THE SADDEST SONG IN CLASSIC ROCK" has to be VAN MORRISON's "IF I EVER NEEDED SOMEONE" this one is off The "HIS BAND AND STREET CHIOR" Album.

Or how about THIN LIZZY's "STILL IN LOVE WITH YOU"

Or even NEIL YOUNG's "HELPLESS"

And what about JETHRO TULL's "A NEW DAY YESTERDAY"

Or maybe CROSBY, STILLS & NASH's "GUINNEVERE"

I know there is more out there but that's all that comes to mind right now.....
