We all like to talk about the best shows you have seen live, but what about some of the worst shows you have seen live?
A couple that I can recall are the following:
Stevie Nicks in 1986. Her plane encountered some bad weather, so she was a couple of hours late to the venue. Well, she must have used that extra time to get completely wasted. She was so out of it. The band came out first and they started playing an intro to a song. They must have played the intro for five minutes waiting for Stevie to hit the stage.
The Pretenders in 1994. Wow, what a disappointment. I think I saw them on one of their last dates of the tour and you could tell. No stage presence, totally lifeless, and sloppy play.
Bon Jovi in 2005. Oh man was this boring. It's the only time I have seen Bon Jovi. It just looked so scripted. It was like every stage move was planned out ahead of time. They played well, but zero energy. What really irritated me was when they played "You Can't Go Home". Jon said this was a new song that had country influences, but they were still a rock and roll band. Dude, why apologize for a song, just play it.

Wow! I saw Stevie Nicks in 1986 in Pittsburgh (I think the Fixx opened) She did really well. She had Shiela E's brother on drums and I remember she had a dressing room on stage. She changed like 3 times. Not the best concert but certainly not the worst. As an afterthought though I have heard (even with Fleetwood mac) she would play wasted and sound terrible (kinda like Axel Rose)
I also saw Bon Jovi (Ha ha, I swear I think in 2005 as well in Pittsburgh) Bon and John Cougar are in my top 10 best concerts.
Oh, yeah what I'm suppose to talk about - worst concert. (Sigh) I really hate to say this but David Bowie
It was the last time he was suppose to play older songs. It was 1990. He had an opening act (some chick on piano yodeling or some shit it was so awful. After 1/2 hour of torture Bowie comes out. Does Space Oddity (now we're talking) Jams for about 1/2 hour and takes a intermission (say what?) Then comes out with what's his name with Tin Machine and starts doing weird shit (Pretty Black Rose?) anyway I left. Never did I leave a show b/f. By the way I opted to see him instead of Stevie Ray Vaughn that was touring with Joe Cocker. They were suppose to play the next day. I said I'll see Stevie later. Three months later he was dead. On a lighter note I was one of the few people that saw Stevie Ray and Jeff Beck together (feather in my hat) But my dumbass could have seen Stevie with Joe Fucking Cocker. I bet it was awesome.
