Bob Dylan is one the most prolific song writers of all time. He has also released a HUGE amount of albums - around 47 of them, and still going strong! Thats a lot of albums to chose from - what are everyones personal favorites? The classics like Highway 61 Revisited or Freewheelin'? Or something newer like Time out of Mind or Love and Theft? And what about everyones favorite songs by him? Pretty tough too... lets hear your thoughts...

It is so hard to pick favorite songs with his vast library of releases. It is hard enough to pick a favorite version of some of his songs.

-The Bootleg Series Vol. 4 - Royal Albert Hall 66

This is what got me into Bob Dylan. I knew his greatest hits, and liked them, but never really started exploring his music until I stumbled upon this set. Two friends and I listened to it to start our night off every single night for an entire summer, so this release will always have sentimental value for me.

-Desire
I don't know if I would say it is my favorite album by him, but it may be my favorite to listen to from beginning to end. It just puts me in such a relaxed mood and sounds great!

As for the newer releases I like Time Out Of Mind best. Love Sick, Trying To Get To Heaven, and "Standing In The Doorway" are the gems in my opinion.

The newest one Together Through Life is pretty good, I definitely like it more than than Modern Times.
How can you pick a album from all of the the ones he did, hummmmm. I have five that I really like. One is Desire, like Pony says, form start to end all great songs. Then another disk from start to end is Nashville Skyline. He played with a favorite group of mine The Band so John Wesley Harding has to be another great overall listen. This is the album that someone turned me on to Dylan, and one reason that I choose my name, The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan. My over all favorite Dylan album is Blonde on Blonde. A song, can't do it the list would be to long :).

Oh dang I forgot Dylan & the Dead. How could I forget that disk. Some mighty fine music there.
