Classic Rock Fan Community: Led Zep, Rolling Stones, Beatles, Doors & More

Classic rock is often considered a very male dominant genre, and often the amazing women of classic rock often don't get the credit they deserve. And there are many that have shaped the genre and era of classic rock - Hearts' Ann and Nancy Wilson, Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie, Pat Benatar, Grace Slick from Jefferson Airplane - and who could forget about one of classic rock finest women's voices - Janis Joplin. The list goes on... but who are your favorite classic rock queens and the moments in their lives?

All those great female rockers have contributed amazinly to the classic rock world scene with their own and unique style. Unfortunately JANIS is gone, but I'm sure if she was still alive, she would still be rock-n-rolling. She had an incredible voice. What ever happened to GRACE SLICK? I had a chance to watch my favorites, Ann & Nancy Wilson, at a HEART concert at the county fair a few years ago. I'm glad that they are still around doing great music & concerts too! I think that the greatest all-female classic rock band title has to go to no other than VIXEN. Other great female classic rockers that I can remember right now are: Lita Ford, Joan Jett, Patty Smyth from Scandal & Tina Turner.

I can't pick just one!!!!! AARRGGGHHHHH

I love all of them :-)

Yes, Janis was great, Grace too.  Crissie Hynde, Joan Jett, Pat Benetar and my favourites, Heart.  Saw them in concert twice in 2011 and they were fantastic!  (BTW, they have a new album coming out Oct. 2, called "Fanatic").
