Across The Universe (film)

Ku ku katchu dudes,

I'm digging into the past here, I'm not sure if this was mentioned or discussed on here regarding the musical salute to the Beatles, Across The Universe; The film had very good renditions of the songs the story was at a good pace and nice to follow, however I wish they included song "Within you and Without you". I love how the film gave props to the legends of the 60s; Joplin, Hendrix, Leary, O can anyone think who the look or character of Lucy's brother is suppose to be? I'm just thinking its Kurt Cobain, I know he doesn't fit into the 60's but he was born around the 60s right? If you look at the look of Lucy's brother, doesn't he put you in mind of Kurt Cobain? Well anyways, there's other aspects of the film that will be discussed as you see fit. For now we will begin with Lucy's brother.

I know his name is supposed to represent Maxwell's Silver Hammer but to me, he reminded me of Harry Nilsson.

I loved the movie, but, never actually thought of any character reminding me of someone else. I lived through the 60s and think this movie captured the spirit of the times perfectly. I was also raised in Europe and the differences between cultures at the beginning of the movie were accurately portrayed, in my opinion.

i love that movie! my favorite scenes were in the bowling alley with i've just seen a face and when max is in the hospital and sings happiness is a warm gun

but i never really saw the characters as someone from the 60s except the guitarist as hendrix and sadie as joplin (and a tip of my hat for putting sexie sadie in there) but then again i'm only 15 (or soon to be anyways)
