What do you think about Jon Anderson's departure from the group and the band's direction with Benoit. at first, and now JD?

Hello Enrique! What a good discussion topic! Among the Yes fan Family a controversial one..All I know is I love 90 percent of Yes music I've heard..not sure about Benoit..and as far as Jon Davison is concerned He is an AWESOME singer!! We saw him w/ Yes in July and he impressed us!!

Yeah sounds like an amazing show. I saw them with Jon Anderson. Just makes me sad to think hes not with them any more..

Here's more about Jon Davison: He sang in a Yes tribute band and Chris Squire went to go see the band play. He was so impressed by JD's singing that he asked him (Jon D) to join Yes on their recent Spring Tour!! we heard that Jon Anderson left Yes because of health concerns.

I agree. JD seems to be doing a great job, but JA is irreplaceable. Benoit was ok, and Fly From Here is a nice sounding album, but not more. BTW, speaking of replacements, what do you think about Geoff Downes?

They still sound awesome. I would prefer to see Jon Anderson stay with the band. Did the band leave him behind? I know he had health issues. At this point in time, not sure any of this would hold him back.

We heard he was asked to leave...but he put out an album recently and He and a bunch of other people are going to be in Las Vegas starting on Sept. 20th at Raiding the Rock Vault!! Wish we could go but its just too far away...

omg would love to get a chance to see Raiding the Rock Vault.. actually for you vegas not far. always had the deals on flights form la to vegas. :) we even have great deals here to vegas on jet blue..

The thing is, some frontmen are simply irreplaceable. David Lee Roth was replaceable. Van Halen did fine without him. Other bands like Journey, Genesis, Black Sabbath, Bad Co., Chicago, INXS, Uriah Heep and Deep Purple, to name a few, have changed their frontmen from time to time with mixed results. But what would have happened if Robert Plant, Mick Jagger, Roger Daltrey Jim Morrison, or Bono left their perspective bands for a solo career? As good as Jon Davison is --and he IS good -- I think Jon Anderson falls in that category of irreplaceable frontmen.

I believe he is irreplaceable. I would still enjoy seeing YES perform now. It will never be the same for me because I have seen them perform with Jon Anderson. I wouldn't go out of my way to get tickets to see a concert now. YES will never be the same without Jon Anderson. I am very fortunate to have been able to see JA perform with the band. Hoping they will listen to their fans..

Jon says he was fired. Yet, "[d]espite all the turmoil, Anderson doesn't completely rule performing with Yes again someday. 'If we ever get into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame we'll all get together,' he says. 'We'll give each other a hug and let bygones be bygones.' How about a reunion tour? 'You never know,' he says..."

That's a great article. It does seem like a difference of opinions and I sure hope they eventually can or will get back together again. I think I have read that one before and thx for share. I see the remaining "Yes" band in a different light now. I feel its all about the money. I would like to think it's about comradery that many of the great bands seem to have. Not judging any of them but that part of it has disappointed me.
