Comment by richard yanick on January 13, 2011 at 4:06pm: Ugh, Can I choose all of these albums. Shit "Ziggy" "Zoso" "the wall" one thing I would swap is Abbey Road for Sgt Pepper. I never was a big "pepper" fan. Sure technically it is GREAT but so is some of ELP albums. But if I want to jam. Abbey Road "trumps" Pepper to me.

For me it came down to Exile on Main Street, Let It Bleed (both excellent albums featuring Mick Taylor) and Dark Side of the Moon. In the end I went with Pink Floyd. That album never dates itself. It's still one heck of a piece of music.

Comment by Larry on October 13, 2010 at 1:30pm: I have tons of music on vinyl and tape from back then, now remastered digitally with new great music by the next generation of classic rock artists. Progressive AOR is the best and if you put out a great "concept" album, your music became timeless. I know of no other album as recognizable by both its cover and its content as The Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon". Many, many close seconds, but this one is the best on any recording medium!
