Now, I'm not exaggerating when I say there's not one hateful bone in my body. I love everything and all. But recently, the fact that actual musicianship and the full on meaning of music itself is being raped and used for HALF-ASS talented use, is crawling underneath my skin. These bands, created music, some not knowing the impact it would have on others, but they made it with time, feeling, and intangible thoughts that some of us may never come to grips to fathom. Certain bands reached different people, and that was the best part, the mystery, discovering bands and listening to them, finding wich one talked and reached out to you the most. Now it's all fallen into one category for people to mock, kids and teenagers who'll probably never know the true meaning behind the music they pretend to play. Most recently, "The Beatles" Rock Band, has not only been the worst thing that could happen to true Beatles fans and listeners, but maybe even an insult. For us who have been listening to them as far back as our recollection takes us, gives us that sense that we know them well, and close. We took that time to listen, we know all the words, stories, seen all the movies, and others seen them live. But now we're going to have these incipid game consumers running around talking about how they LOVE The Beatles just cause they played "All My Lovin" on Rock Band. There's just something wrong there. Be prepared for a new generation of WANNABE classic rock fans. If you want to play a song, and actually learn something so deep, pick up an actuall instrument. Keep the music alive.... discover it on your own.
