I never saw the movie, but in 1971 I rushed out and bought the double album 200 Motels by Frank Zappa. Why? Because Mark Volman and Howard Kaylan were key fixtures with the Mothers of Invention. Perhaps you know them better as Phlorescent Leech and Eddie respectively. No? Ha ha, okay. Sit back and prepare yourself for a little rock and roll trivia.

For more and a clip from the movie see my blog at: http://dufusdownbeat.blogspot.com/2009/09/magic-fingers.html

PaulR: I talk about the Turtles briefly in the article on my blog.

Phantasm777: Yep, that`s right. There were 4:
Chunga's Revenge (1970)
Fillmore East - June 1971 (1971)
200 Motels (soundtrack) (1971)
Just Another Band from L.A. (1972)

Freewheelin`: You lucky Mother ;)

In your blog I see that you say that Keith Moon was it the flick. Is that right , I never knew that and I have not seen his name anywhere. I will have to look for it.

Too bad you never saw the flick. I bought the vid as soon as it came out. The first movie ever shot on video, I believe. I saw Zappa with Flo and Eddie once, 1970 or around then. I have a good collection of Zappa on vinyl and had some of Fol and Eddie's disc's as well.
It's Kama Sutra Time.
Flo and Eddie have been at the Hippie Fest concerts also, saw a them in 07 and 08 doing some Turtle stuff.
