Just as my heart was finally starting to heal from missing out on the Led Zeppelin reunion at the O2 Arena. . .
THIS comes along: http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/07/22/rock-and-roll-hall-of-fame-plans-anniversary-shows/
That's right, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is celebrating their 25 Anniversary by holding a two-night classic rock blowout at none other than Madison Square Garden.
Springsteen. Crosby, Stills and Nash. U2. Simon and Garfunkel. Aretha Franklin. Stevie Wonder. Eric Clapton. PERFORMING AT THE SAME EVENTS. JUST AS THE PRELIMINARY LINEUP! That means god only knows who else will be there! My money's on Jimmy Page. . .oh god. . .another missed chance. . .
Did I mention that Cameron Crowe (one of my personal heroes) is producing the whole shindig?
I think my I'm having a heart attack. Or perhaps it's my tired heart breaking in advance, because tickets go on sale on Monday at 9am sharp, and if Michael Jackson can sell out 50 shows in 3 minutes, I can't imagine how anyone is going to be able to get tickets for this.
Seriously. If you are reading this and you get tickets, will you let me know how you accomplished such a feat? Just for future reference.
Good luck and Godspeed,
KB
