The Doors Release Full Length "She Smells So Nice"

The Doors have officially released “She Smells so Nice” a track “L.A. Woman” producer Bruce Botnick found while going through session tapes of “L.A. Woman” while looking for alternate tracks for the forthcoming “The Doors Mr. Mojo Risin’: The Making of L.A. Woman” coming January 24th.

“She Smells so Nice” is more of a jam that sounds vaguely Greatful Dead-ish, or maybe in the vein of good time blues like “Roadhouse Blues.” Listening to the track you can hear why it didn’t make it to “L.A. Woman”, it doesn’t have the same slower bluesy feel as the rest of the album, or maybe it didn’t make the cut past a work song, or maybe it was even a warm up jam for the band as they got into other songs that did make it to the album. Maybe the release of “The Doors Mr. Mojo Risin’: The Making of L.A. Woman” will place it in the context of “L.A. Woman.”
