Way back in May of '72

I was trying to explain what exactly Germersheim was to a niece and nephew who found one of my old photos from the event on Facebook. So did a Google search for Germersheim, 1972. Thus I found this fantastic site, the photos and was able to share with the buds who were there with me in May of 1972. I had been discharged on May 1, 1972 from the USAF, Ramstein Germany. A bud & I made a quick trip to visit another freaq who was at the time in Ankara Turkey. This involved hitching a ride to Frankfurt to catch the Orient Express, via Paris to Istanbul. A couple of TCDD trains and buses to pull into Ankara. We brought back a chess board and pieces for a friend and high tailed it to Germersheim.  Great Time!, wish I could remember more.
