Yeah loved them also. They were a very popular band in my circle in life and not surprised their cover songs were Motown's biggest sellers. They made those covers very popular..

Loved this band when they first hit the scene..just brings back along of memories. Sure they covered a lot of songs but read somewhere that they were one of Motown's biggest sellers during the period. Which is saying a lot...I think I still have some of their 8-tracks stashed away.

I hear ya Barry. I agree with you. They did do a fine job on all the cover tunes that were hits. I believe the music that never got published in the 90's  may have been hits..

When I said no song writers I meant they didn't write any of the hits. All there big songs were covers. Get Ready was Smokey Robinson, they did a lot of Norman Whitfield songs or should I say Temptations' songs. Most all original songs were album tracks not the singles.

There was a song writer in the band. A friend of mine was bass player/song writer that worked and recorded with Mark Olson until Mark passed away in early 90's They were working on an album at the time.

Love this band! Mainly a cover band just no song writers in band. Still love them!! Great share.
