Even though this is a bit expensive it covers a lot of the interesting Beatles related things in Liverpool including the Casbah :) http://ning.it/ZPAh0C
You have to imagine what it's like to be in Pete Best, its a deep wound to suffer in His life, I asked His Brother How on earth did You comfort Pete after the sacking and all through Beatlemania and beyond? it was all down to the closeness of His Family specially His Mum, You do feel the strength of the Family just standing in their home, His Mum got them the Beatles their first booking at the Cavern and also had many dealings with Epstien in the early days.
I enjoyed the beatles experience even though most of it isn't the genuin article, its still worth going to.
It is incredible what you see in the Casbah, I was expecting just a dark damp cellar but you are shown around by Pete Bests brother and you can ask Him endless questions that He seemed to enjoy :)
If You make it to Liverpool some day the best Beatles historical shrine is Pete Best's family home, in the early 60's they turned the basement in to a teenage club called The Casbah, when Pete got sacked they closed the door and didn't open it again for decades, now it's reopened everything is as it was in the early 60's including the decorating that John and Paul did.
Merry England is worth a visit, specially if you like Historical stuff (places and music), if you like rain, we have bucket loads. when I saw Kokomo I thought of that Beach boys song but its not the same place is it?
welcome to the BEATLES group - please share your memories, photos, videos or just say hello - we sometimes do triva and try to post historic events, birthdays , or other news both as a group and as solo artist - lots of photos on my site

This live cam gives you an idea what the Abbey Road crossing is like today, people still stop the traffic for photos :)

If you have time for a trip to London, nothing beats the feeling of standing on the Abbey road crossing, the traffic is a bit busier these days :)

Hi Alexis, Yes, I really do live in the UK, the north of England, what's it like living in Kokomo?
