We all know I'm a self proclaimed, and very established Doors fan.
The main reason other than the awesome music: words speak to me. The lyrics in Doors songs particularly, but I do connect with others as well.
Anyways, I was bored and started thinking about songs, and the phrases that've stuck with me.
It made me curious, what lyrics has spoken to you the most? Maybe to your dreams, pain, anger, joy, wants, needs, whatever. But what lyrics just perfectly described whatever you've needed to hear in a moment-developing, what I'm calling the AHA moment of classic rock lyrics.
Mine include:
From The Crystal Ship-
"The days are bright and filled with pain
Enclose me in your gentle rain"
From Unknown Soldier-
"Breakfast where the news is read
Television children fed
Unborn living, living, dead
Bullet strikes the helmet's head""
From The End-
This is the end, my only friend, the end.
It hurts to set you free, but you'll never follow me.
The end of laughter and soft lies,
The end of nights we tried to die.
This is the end.'
I could go on for ages about why these words have stuck with me, but enough about me, god! What lyrics connect with YOU?? Please, oh please, rant about it because I love reading all your responses(:

Though I'm going, going, I'll be coming home soon,
'Long as I can see the light.
Reminds me how far away from home and how long its been...
