I am always curious to know peoples' favorite stone.. I myself am a great Keith Richards fan - what a crazy guy - and he sure knows how to rock out. I laugh that he looks like a relic now - way too many drugs! Mick is great, but doesn't have the same 'don't give a damn about anything' look like Keith has. What does everyone else think?

Are you crazy? Mick is way cooler! Keith still rocks, but he has nothing on Mick. Look at the way he struts his stuff! He is a machine! Without him, the stones would have been nothing!
Well this is both easy and tough to answer. Mick and Keith are like Page and Plant...one wouldn't be the other without his partner. But I have to say I have had a love for Mick since I was a kid. His confidence, his moves, his cockiness, his voice, his sexuality. I would agree with Stonesman that without Mick the Stones may not have been much of a band....I think any band Mick fronted would have been a huge hit. I like all the Stones but Mick is MICK.
Keith is my favorite Stone, with Charlie running a close second. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm a HUGE Jagger fan, too, but Charlie and Keith are the heart and soul of our band!!
I have followed the Stones from childhood and probably have about 40 lps many rare bootlegs so I think I am pretty familiar with them lol! Keefer was the main song writer Mick is the consumate showman at first Brian was the most musically talented what a crying shame the way he is never really mentioned in the same light as Jimmy or Janis or Jim M. Brian and Jimmy after he got kicked out of the Stones were going to start a band that would have been interesting to say the least. Mick is well Mick business savy the Stones well ruled rock and roll from about 1968 to around the mid 70's and basically they are not the same but for those years from Let it Bleed, Beggers Banquet, Sticky Fingers, Exile on Main Street are probably the best records all released consecutively by any band bar none every one of those lps are a must have for a rock and roll collection.I always remembered that me and a friend when I was 11 or 12 in the 7th grade had a vote thing to see who was more popular Stones Zeppelin and basically it was mostly a tie because I cheated lol! We were already experimenting with various substances and of course this music from that period especially Pink Floyds Dark Side of the Moon. I remeber we even had their 2 posters up in this one class that I was in for problem students sometimes the whole class would cut and we would in the winter time party in this one part of the auditorium hallway all day lol! Leave right before everyone else was released. The 80s was where the Stones drifted to far off course for my liking. Now dont get me wrong, I love the Stones but they are only half of what they were and basically just riding it out on their past glories and legacy and why not they worked hard for the title of the greatest rock and roll band so they deserve it!
I agree 100% with you about Brian Jones. He was the driving force of their initial success and never gets the credit. And yes those 70's albums were the best. I do listen to the newer stuff and find that some of the lyrics are hysterical and only Jagger could pull them off. No one puts on a show like the Stones...
It has to be Keith!! Mick after gaining super stardom, well became snooty. While Keith would be more of a normal person. Hanging with the local musicians and riff raff!! Always in trouble, and could care less about royalty and high profile celebrities. Keith was, and still is just a normal guy..a little out there, but aren't we all? Peace RJ
WOODIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!<3
If I had to pick one it would be Keith. I think a more interesting discussion is Brian, Mick T., or Woody. The band has brought a little bit of a different dynamic to the table with each of them. My vote there would be Mick Taylor.
