I'm pretty picky in what I like. Yes i don't see too much great music left.
Favorite bands:
the Beatles ( I prefer Harrison's songs than lennon/ macca's even though i like some lennon/ macca)
the Police (sting wrote the hits, stewart's songs aren't bad they just concentrate more on instruments than the song as a whole, andy songs his best: someone to talk to, the mixtures song wise some are better than others.)
tom petty/ tom petty & the heart breakers (i like quite a bit of his songs)
and i think: the dream of the blue turtles counts as classic rock now (sting's 1st solo album)
all things must pass (great one from George Harrison)

My name is Mike and I was born and raised in Gloucester, MA. I'm an enormous Doors and Beatles fan. Although I love all classic rock, the Doors and Jim Morrison opened my eyes to great music. Plus Jim is a fucking genius! Then there's the Beatles. That's all I need to say, they're the Beatles.
I think Bob Seger describes me best when he says, "Call me pathetic, call me what you will. Say I'm old fashion, say I'm over the hill. Today's music ain't got the same soul, I like that old time rock and roll!!!! Don't even take me to a dico, you'll never even get me out on the floor. In ten minutes I'll be late for the door. Start playin' that old time rock and roll!!!"

Hey everyone, my name is Mike Solano and I started liking Classic Rock while growing up in San Diego in the 60's and the 70's (in my opinion, the best times for Classic Rock!). I was lucky enough to actually see in concert alot of the bands mentioned on this awesome website. I have seen Led Zep, Pink Floyd, The Stones, The Who, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Jethro Tull, Alice Cooper, Foghat, Aerosmith,Lynnyrd Skinnyrd, The Police, Santana, Uriah Heep, Fleetwood Mac, Peter Frampton and a few more that I can't readily remember at this time ( what can I say ,it WAS the 60's and the 70's!). Photography was a hobby of mine at the time, so I do have alot of pictures of these concerts. I am now a Professional Baby Photographer.

 Anyway , I love this forum and the opportunity to share my passion with others that love the same. BTW, the best concert I ever attended was Pink Floyd: Dark Side of the Moon.

hey fellow rock fans,it's great to chat with people who get enjoyment out of this most amazing music.my name is Cliff.am from liverpool england,home of the beatles of course.i have been into my rock since i was a kid in school.used to get frustrated when trying to listen to the radio,man was it bad back then.you got the occasional hour of decent rock once a week if you were lucky,now glad to say we have planet rock here,so radio is enjoyable atlast.fav band is without doubt,lynyrd skynyrd,just love everything about them.also enjoy bands such as the allman brothers the eagles,bad company the doors,you know the list goe's on and on.love making my own wine and beer,many nights i have friends round to play darts,listen to classic rock and drink plenty of my homebrew.i have spent alot of time touring the states.fantastic driving around listening to the classis rock stations over there.anyway think it's time to rock.be seeing you.

Hello everybody,

New to this community. I am David and I am from Lisbon, Portugal. As everyone else in here I love rock music, specially classic rock. I am 33 years old and though my first favorite band was Queen, during my childhood, I consider I was seriously introduced to classic rock by The Doors when I was 14, they became my favorite band and still are.I have so many favorite bands and albums that becomes hard to choose just a few, and not just in classic rock. I love collecting rock memorabilia, old records, vintage magazines. Also love the wonderfull world of Internet,video games etc etc. I am thrilled to be able to share some rock knowledge with other rock fans as I on this network. So I see you all around. Cheers

I do not have a facebook profile, might be one of the few persons in the world who doesn't lol so unfortunally will not be able to like the page. Whenever I can I will post photos of some stuff I own (it's mostly records but own some magazines and books :)
