Yeah would be great to see Clapton before he retires. I am not a fan of Eddie Van Halen. Maybe clapton isnt either??? thx for your input wayne. nice seeing a new active person on CRN - have fun :)
I'd like to see Clapton jam with Eddie Van Halen before he retires from touring at 70 in three years. I have never seen a picture of both of them together but it would be great if it ever happens. He's done it with everybody else from Duane Allman to Keith Richards & other rock/blues legends. I consider Live Peace In Toronto to be John's best live performance as a solo artist with the first incarnation of the Plastic Ono Band EC.
I think I first heard Eric Clapton play guitar with Cream when I was 14 years old! I thought he was really good and not like anyone I had heard before! From then til now I have really liked him a lot as a musician!!
just click here to listen to probably the best sounding recordings of Derek and The Dominos available this is a mix of both soundboard and audience recordings. The sbds are amazing.

Note: A longtime music fan, Philip Cohen was a contributor to the now-defunct ICE Magazine and compiled the boxsets for The Yardbirds, The Small Faces, Humble Pie and Nice
Sorry for typo should read "I have been following Clapton...
ai have been following Clapyon since I was a wee lad and saw cream at MSG for farwell tour. I started playing guitar from hearing his bending and vibrato which gave me goose flesh. I have seen him in every incarnation except yardbirds and Mayall and past bands like Roosters and Casey Jones. I even saw Bangla Desh I have decided to do a tribute band to honor the man
