I've allways preferred the 'conquest of America', Madison Square Garden, '73. It was magic. LZ at their best.

Denmark radio show and the concert at the Royal Albert Hall were fantastic, but their highest moment was in 1973, when the band toured in America.

My personal favourite footage of them is the Denmark radio show they did. They were young, lean and so fresh. Bonham's rapid fire drumming really stood out for me ( and yes I've seen concerts where he is just as awesome) but there is something about that footage that is so awe inspireing. Page conjuring up magic on his guitar pulling riffs out of nowhere, Plant brilliantly screaming and wailing like no one before or since and JPJ standing to one side playing those hypnotic bass riffs and looking pretty cool.

Brilliant! What else can one say.

I was listening to this song the other day and realized that the beginning sounds a lot like Led Zeppelin's "Bono Montreux". Grohl loves Led Zeppelin, he even has a tattoo of the band on his arm. Is John Bonham David's Hero! Makes since to me.
