I believe that's the late Eamonn Andrews in the background. He was a strong voice against the war in Vietnam.

It was a thing they did in Toronto Canada for Peace. They just stayed in there room and allowed people and the press in, to rally for peace - The Viet Nam War was raging then. It was like a protest. Anything The Beatles or Lennon did at that time drew major attention and the Press.
