A Million Miles And Days was recorded over in America with producer Jeff Tomei, of Jerry Cantrell and Smashing Pumpkins fame. The band is currently back on the Western Australian tour-circuit after their first US tour.
While the sounds of Lottery of Life was mostly pure grunge, Hailmary have moved into the arena of pure hard rock with A Million Miles And Days. To me this is a little disappointing; they made some great grunge music. However as hard rock goes, the new record doesn’t really lack for anything.
The vocals are loud and hard, the guitars crash around you, the bass and the drums are the framework on which everything else is built.
