Like Carlos Santana,
Fleetwood Mac also started out
as a Blues band, here with Peter Green. Unfortunately,
drugs bumped him
out of the picture for years; but Peter Green was a
good player, and had
quite a following. This was a Freddie King song,
Journey was Santanas backing band I wonder what happened to them on the way lol Im on a blues explosHere's Peter Green,
teamed up with John Mayall
doing one of my favorite songs, written by Chicago's own
Otis Rush.
'Double Trouble'. Paul Butterfield recorded my
favorite version of this
song, and Stevie Ray Vaughan named his band after this
song.
Play the Butterfield
version on the CD I sent
you... some smokin sax on that version.
Here's the
original,
For me, it always comes
back to the
blues.
Muddy said it...'the
Blues had a baby, and they
called it Rock and Roll'.
So true. Blues is the
language of
Rock.
j
