For a career that was cut short by illness and a premature death, guitarist, singer, and songwriter Rory Gallagher sure accomplished a lot in the blues music world.

Before becoming a solo star, Rory Gallagher fronted the blues-rock trio Taste, which experienced reasonable success in the U.K. in the late '60s and early '70s.
Recorded his first solo album in 1971 , releasing all together 14 albums until his death in 1995.

Another great find! I had never heard of this guy before... he sure does rock out! Did he only do solo work?

Recommended Listening : Irish Tour 1974.
It confirms Gallagher not simply as the greatest bluesman Ireland ever knew, but as one of the island's greatest-ever performers.
