RIP Tom Petty!

This one really shocked me. It's still hard to accept that he has died. Tom Petty's music spanned over 40 years and was consistently good music. Unlike most rock icons he produced great albums throughout his career. Hell even The Stones have stinkers in their catalogue. Petty was a 60s rock star who started late. Even though he didn't make music in that decade his music transported the listener to the 60s. He will be sorely missed. I had hopes of seeing him again live but just like that he's gone. Damn The Torpedoes!!
