please see my Jimi page. my desire is to dig up some "oldies but moldies" you might have never seen or heard. Jimi reminds me of a runaway freight train or a hot water faucet that's stuck on full blast. dangerous. yes, Jimi was God, but aren't we all a little part of that?

listening to the 4th CD in the box set right now.. to me all of Jimi's lesser known songs and later material are the best, like the South Saturn Delta CD and a lot of the ones you can get from Dagger Records

Just kicked it with my neighbors this weekend and watched Jimi live at Woodstock a couple times in a row. The jam session towards the end of his set is aaaaaaaamaziiiiiiiiiiiiiing!!!!!!

Jimi was not only the greatest player on guitar..although Jimmy Page is pretty close in my opinion....but he was from a different planet. Nobody has really been better. He truly was a genuine one of a kind and shockingly brilliant talent. He was that proverbial impossibly bright comet that exploded way too soon. But at least he was around long enough to leave an incredible legacy for all of us to follow. I mean Castles Made of Sand is an incredible song musically and lyrically. What can I say he blew my mind with his brilliance. There are many more great songs Manic Depression etc. but for some reason Castles Made of Sand really grabs me the most.
