My Favorite PF album is 'Wish You Were Here', & runner up is 'Animals'. Best single I like is 'Learning To Fly'.

I often feel that Dark Side of the Moon recieves too much attention. In my opinion, The Wall and Animals are both better albums, and possibly the Division Bell is superior as well.

Went to see my nephew's band Jetstream open for Floyd tribute band "Which One's Pink?" last night 3/20 at The Canyon Club in Agoura Hills, CA. The PF copycats did an awesome start-to-finish rendition of the album "Animals" for their first set. Very good musicians! Go see them if you can. Next best thing........

Funny because just the other day I was thinking about this conversation we were having over here or whatever you call cyber space communication telepathy with the stars maybe lol! I was bidding on a Alan Parsons project Japan Nippon pressing of I robot lp. He was a very integral part of producing and contributing ideas for Dark Side. Well I eneded up winning it for a measly 9 dollars Of course I was estatic. Cant wait he jams to That is one good thing about ebay it gives people like me a worldwide shot of getting the best rarest recordings and I take full advantage of it otherwise my collection would be of mostly inferior junk from garage sales or way over priced stuff for the most part from lp dealers Who spins vinyl around here? well i guess everybodys in a different galaxy or something so i am going to sleep keep that Floyd jamming!

Good to have your input larry and sadly I never had the chance to see Syd live. i also just became a grandfather and my world still revolves around music and luckily even my employment lol1 have a good one keep spinning that vinyl because its better than spinning your wheels is my motto lol!

I was working in England for the USAF when my Brit friend took me to the Crystal Palace in London. He said, there's this underground band that is playing the CP called Pink Floyd, did I want to go? (66/67) That nite I got to see Syd Barrett and I didn't know it! I never heard of PF before that nite and I have been connected spiritually ever since!
The outstanding comments from Glen and Larry are some of my feelings exactly! My wife & I raised 7 kids to the tune of Pink Floyd and other classic rock bands. Today we are great grandparents and we still listen to the Floyd! This is a great site!! Rock on!!

Layla, I love and probabaly have almost everything they have ever put out a lot is on the original Masters or Japanese vinyl, If I did pick one it would be Shine on you crazy diamond also because of the spiritual story behind it involving Syd Barrett and the recording studio when they were first laying it down. I had like a really spiritual thing happen the same day Richard died I got two of the rarest Floyd bootlegs that I had been looking for like for 20 years I really think it was his doing because I have jhad other stuff happen all of the time but hey anybody check my lp store Albumholics Audiophiles Anonymous on E-bay i am like a pusher that sells drugs for his habit well my habit is my music lol! regards Glen

I'd have to say "Echoes". The lyrics are outstanding, truly poetic, crossing ages of man and time. I especially like "So I throw the windows wide, and call to you across the sky"!!! My tombstone awaits!!! :o) Floyd didn't create just one song...they created albums of musical poetry, nothing held back....seamless verse entwined with musical genius....album after album!!! What a time to love musical artistry!
