What is your favorite Beatles album? I personally think that Sgt. Peppers is good, but over-rated. Certainly not their best that many people seem to think. My two favorite albums have to be Let it Be and the White Album.

And personally, I think that revolver and rubber soul sound a little too similar to each other.

What are everyone else's favorite Beatles albums then? I am sure there are some huge fans of their very early albums too. Share your thoughts Beatles fans!

Again, your opinion, and mine. Different and both need to be respected. Good thing that in this planet not everyone loves the blue, otherwise what would happen to the yellow.

Have fun on the site!

David

Yeah, I do tend to respect everyone's opinion even if I don't agree with it aswell, to be honest It sounded like you were imposing your own opinion, and I stress the "sounded like" not sayin you were, I am not upset or anything, Debates are nice and it is intereseting to hear different points of views, the reason why i commented on ur tread was pretty much cause it was interseting to hear somebody sayin "white album" is overrated, that's not really common and got my attention, in a good way. Btw thanks for the friend invite. We got some nice action on the site, that's positive :)
True. I think one of the reasons we don't get as much people here posting stuff and all that is cause of Facebook, I don't know how the FB site for classicrockersnetwork goes cause I don't have a FB account, but would be nice for people to use the actual site for comments and all that. Maybe having a few weekly music online contests, games, stuff like that would be cool.

So hard to choose...but have to say Revolver, the White album, Sgt Pepper and Yellow Submarine hold great memories!

I like the remastered version of Yellow Submarine. It certainly holds more of their songs from the movie unlike the original L.P. with the George Martin classical side. Revolver holds plenty of musical changes for The Beatles, with sitars, horns, heavy piano and strings ( Eleanor Rigby). I find this album a bridge between Rubber Soul( a quiet work) and Sgt. Pepper( a more psy piece). In a very short time, The Beatles went from writing songs to dance to to songs you sat to listen. All of your albums choices have such songs! Yes, I agree, they do hold great memories for me also. Thanks for sharing!

Rubber Soul and Revolver sounding similar? no way. Revolver is heavier and has a lot of sitar in it. Rubber soul has more relaxed feel and more John Lennon presence in it. I do love them both though. But for me... Rubber Soul wins.

I agree. I happen to own the U.S. version of Rubber Soul. Of course it does differ from the U.K. album. I just like to hear Paul with ' I Just Saw A Face'  ( it's on the Help cd). It was a nice disparture from electric guitars. A gentle sounding work with sitars, pianos, and nice harmonies. No protest here unlike 'Taxman' on Revolver. Like yourself, I do like them both. Yet,to be honest, I probably listen to Rubber Soul more.  A winner for sure!

I have 2 favorites. Abbey road is #1 followed by Rubber Soul.

I find it hard to choose between Abbey Rd, White Album and Sgt Pepper. Abbey Rd just shades it though, with White Album second and Pepper third.

That is how I sum it up also.

I like all of them, but, the ones I seem to play the most are Help, Revolver and Sgt. Pepper's.

Those are all great albums. I just got 'Beatles For Sale' for Christmas. I had the American version titled ' Beatles '65' on vinyln. Sometimes it is the type of mood I am in to listen to a Bealtes album. Itf I want something soft and quiet, then it's Rubber Soul. If I want something more loud and heavy guitar then it's The White Album. Mostly I listen to Abbey Road because of all four having songs on it and seeing it's the band's last final horrah!! In any case, you cannot go wrong with The Beatles!
