I really don't care what is the reason for it. I have bought all 14 newly remastered albums (individually because the box sets where sold out), and I am quite pleased with all of them. To best describe the newly remastered songs..its "loud". Everything is so much louder and clearer then before. Even the early Beatle songs are remastered nicely. The best part of these CDs is Paul's Bass and Ringo's drumming. They aren't muddled in the background as before (compared to the 80s Beatle Cds).

hmmm...it could be for either.

Anyways, I am working on completing my collection -- I have only three stereo remasters to get (I'm trading in the Abbey Road jewel case for the environment-friendly remaster of that album). I also have three mono remasters to get as well.
