If you could spend an hour with a classic rock musician or band member, to get advice or just B.S. with, who would you pick and what would you do/ask them? This could be alive or dead musician. I'll add mine later b/c right now I'm undecided.

OK...This May Sound Weird And All....But I'd Like To Ask KEITH RICHARDS or MICK JAGGER " WHAT REALLY HAPPENED TO BRIAN JONES?".....HELL or Even Ask BRIAN JONES "WHAT HAPPENED?....WHO DID IT?...AND WHY?".....And The Same Questions I'd Ask To JIM MORRISON........
Great question! I would actually love to sit down with Jim Morrison and figure out his view on life... that guy truly had an amazing mind.
Jim Morrison would love to sit down and get his side of the story, even though I am sure it would be mostly fiction...lol.... Also Janis Joplin would love to spend time with her and just shoot the shit she seemed really cool and down to earth!

I'd love to talk to Jimmy Page about religion, Janis about Texas and Austin, and John Lennon about anything....

of course the reality is, if I got in the same room with Jimmy I don't think I could speak coherently, let alone have a conversation about anything lol

Don't get too envious, but when I was 16 I actually sat in with Jimmy Page and some locals. It wasn't scary or anything, because the Zep was just breaking ground. I was in the garage and driveway of a friend in Jersey City. He had two groups at the time, Moody Church and Broken Bones. He also did a lot of session work in NYC. He just brought Jimmy back with him from the city. It only became awesome later.

ps - I played drums.

So jealous!
I would love to sit with Robert Plant, and I probably wouldn't be able to speak.
I went back and forth for a while between Gary Brooker (Procol Harum) and Frank Zappa. In the end, FRANK ZAPPA. He was a prolific writer, musician and recording artist. I would love to know how he got so many of his albums recorded - let's face it, most were, let's just say different. I would spend the time jamming with him - feeling his vibe and where it takes you.

I thought about it. John Lennon would be nice as would George Harrison. Problem is with these two for me is I'm afraid Lennon may be too abrasive and George too shy. I think I would love to talk with Janice and just talk about anything. I also would LOVE to do a few shots with Keith Moon and pull a prank on someone. Hell give me a few shots and Keith would probably have me doing anything to make him laugh. Yeah, Janice or Keith. It would be a blast.

I would love to talk to Keith Moon..but I think Keith wasn't really serious about anything but to simply to have fun. A couple of beers later he be ripping my shirt and say let's go crash some party!

John Kay, founder of Steppenwolf.  He is one of my musical heroes as well as a fantastic musician.  Totally underrated, IMO.  We also share a similar heritage; born in Germany, moved to Canada.  Steppenwolf evolved from the Toronto group, The Sparrow.  He is super intelligent and heavily involved in charitable works.  Been with the same woman since 1964!

My other musical hero is John Lennon and that would have been amazing, to speak with him. Tragic genius; so brutally silenced.

Good choice on John Kay. I saw Steppenwolf in1970 in Miami. Great concert. Born to be Wild and Magic Carpet Ride, two great rock songs.
