Back in the 60s and 70's, classic rock bands often covered songs by other classic rock bands. And some of the better current bands do some great cover versions too. And some of them did versions even better than the original! What are your favorites?
Here are a few of my more famous favorites:

- Love Reign O'ver Me by Pearl Jam (originally by The Who)
And this one is pretty rare!

Thats a great one. My favorite cover is the Hendrix one, but that Gov't Mule one is great as well.

One of the loveliest covers I have heard is Julie Fowlis, a Gaelic musician, singing Lon-Dubh (Blackbird).
