What SANTANA Tour or Show was your favorite? And Why?

 I think that for me The 1987 FREEDOM TOUR and the show he did the year later called "An Evening With SANTANA" were the best. They both had Alex lingertwood on vocals and i've always like him singing for Carlos....Alex Lingertwood, Greg Walker and Greg Rolie have to be my favorites singing with the Santana band. 

Now,An Evining with SANTANA Show was any true fan's dream show 'cause he played all his classic songs as well as newer songs like "The Healer" which he later did on John Lee Hookers CD by the same name. I've been a SANTANA Fan since the 70's so I guess I'm Ol' School when I say to you Santana's older stuff was better....I Think After The Supernatural Album his music wasn't the same. It was like it a cookie cutter/FM radio friendly mess...Carlos Santana's Last Great effort was The MILAGRO Album.

I just saw SANTANA in Concert in San Antonio Texas on 9/11/2011 and I gotta say He can still tear it up on the Guitar....But when you open the show up with a cover of AC/DC's BACK IN BLACK....There's something wrong. Ok, I know he just put out that CD with all those cover songs and all,....But with all those years of putting out great albums and great music he played maybe a hand full of his classic songs. It left me wondering what the hell just happened here...I thought the show was just all over the place with no direction.

I'm still Ol' School and I'm still a Fan....So if anyone from the SANTANA Camp reads this Please let Carlos know he's got fans out here that would love to see him do the music like he used to do....And to give us a classic show to top all the others.
