2. British Rock Meeting in Germany - May 1972 in Germersheim - with a gr8 WOODSTOCK FEELING

Hello to all music lovers - i am searching for people who where at the festival, i remember there also where a lot of GI's. would be gr8 to exchange good memories.
the festival started on a long weekend on friday, ended on monday - the highlight for me was PINK FLOYD !!!
i still have some old pictures from that festival, if interested for exchange, pls let me know.

Comment by Jack Kilpatrick on November 10, 2010 at 7:09am: For me Pink Floyd put on a great show and their psychidelic type music & light show was great for trippin' and being high, but their music to me, wasn't perfected until around 1973 after their original group leader died and they hit the states. I think Uriah Heep was underated like Grand Funk. They had two really good albums, the Magicians Birthday and the all time Classic album Demons & Wizards!

I loved Golden Earring's old stuff, until they went US with Radar Love, I didn't care for the change. Did anyone go to the Grand Funk Railroad concert when they were in Germany? I can't remember if it was 1971 or 1972! We played Jimi Hendrix's Star Spangled Banner at a Battalion assembly.

We used to have this courtcase game and bring charges against a bro. We would then put a pillow case over their head with the corners cut, then blow double shotguns into the bag from each corner. We were close friends with 5 German girls from the Ettlingen area who came up to my room to party alot amnd hung with us wherever we went to party. Hanna, Uula, Urena, Crazy Karen and Ursula.
