2. British Rock Meeting in Germany - May 1972 in Germersheim - with a gr8 WOODSTOCK FEELING
Hello to all music lovers - i am searching for people who where at the festival, i remember there also where a lot of GI's. would be gr8 to exchange good memories.
the festival started on a long weekend on friday, ended on monday - the highlight for me was PINK FLOYD !!!
i still have some old pictures from that festival, if interested for exchange, pls let me know.

Angel---I just uploaded some Humble Pie pictures to the album----I also found a bunch of period concert posters but they're so big I don't know how to get them photographed---nice Lippman and Rau posters....Do you remember a a european group named Jeronimo? me neither but a great poster.

I was at this show.
My dad was in the airforce and we were stationed at Wiesbaden.
Myself and 7 other friends pooled our funds. Took the train down on Wensday and set up a ten right in front of the stage about 20 yards back. Thursday was uneventful but things did start to fill in around us.
When we got up on Friday morning there were people as far as the eye could see to our left, right and behind. It was awsome for a 16 year old kid from the US to be free and in the company of so many fellow travelers.
We brought 365 grams of the finest black afgany hash to bargan with and I would say we did quite well by ourselves. Going to the bathroom was a nightmare. Going anywhere was a nightmare. so you just stay put and enjoy the show and the folks around you. Afterall they too were stuck in this place with "nothin left to do but smile, smile, smile"(a favorite quote from the band that I hitched my star to the next year back in the US and have been a fan of ever since)
