Classic Rock Fan Community: Led Zep, Rolling Stones, Beatles, Doors & More

Q and A with James Michael Davis of NEMESYS on effects of the new digital world of music

Thank You to James Michael Davis a.k.a. Jimbo of NEMESYS for taking much time out of his busy schedule to answer these very important questions so we could get an independent musicians point of view on the
growing change of the digital music world.

1) How do you feel the digital music industry can help you advance in your music career?

JIMBO: If I were to try and sum-up the digital industry’s positive influence on bands, I’d say exposure opportunities on the global level. Suddenly, now, the possibilities don’t stop in
one’s city. Also, logistics don’t restrict a band’s ability with respect
to the cost and time of mailing everything. Now, a band can show-off
their tunes, create a visual impression and accumulate fans all around
the country and world because of the digital realm. Also, bands –
through all of the above – are setting themselves up for opportunities
unintentionally – alluding to the viral phenomenon (not an objective
goal, but a reality nonetheless).
