Well we started a series this past Tuesday, with a profile of Seals and Crofts, taking a look at the incursion of soft-rock in the early 70s. The movement had its fans but it had its critics too. And a group that epitomized the movement, and attracted both fans and critics alike was America.
Formed in the early 70s, with its members barely out of their teens, Gerry Beckley, Dewey Bunnell and Dan Peek took a while to catch on and reached their greatest success once “5th Beatle” George Martin took over producing their albums.
