I love karaoke. I wish I could sing like Janis Joplin.

Janis was a great singer, a great voice. Also one of my favorite female singers, at the top with Grace Slick and Julie Driscoll. Have not heard Ann Wilson, but then I never was a Heart fan.
Who here has seen Janis? I managed to see her when I was at the Festival Express concert in 1970. What a concert, 3 days of good music and Janis singing an drinking southern comfort. :)

This woman had the most narly, sexy voice of any female singer I actually can enjoy. He whole heart and soul was put into the songs she sang and you can tell just by listening to the raspy vocals. I absolutely LOVE Maybe, and Kozmic Blues, and A Woman Left Lonely. She is the only one who got me through some tough times, and she just made me realize that even though a girl can be tough she still can get hurt and it's okay. It all makes us stronger.
Again she is another mind blowing singer I wish I could have had the opportunity to see sing live.
