The band as a whole was like an incredible mosaic..perfect pieces for the perfect sound. I first heard Jim's voice in 2nd grade and was in love for the rest of my life. His mysterious mind, his alluring voice, his remarkable sexuality... I imagine he leaps into my soul as I listen to The Doors or read his poetry... I'm gonna love him til the stars fall from the sky....

Another mind blowing band which started in '67...Hendrix being the other. I can still remember hearing Light My Fire over the AM radio in my parents car one night for the first time as a youngster esp. the instrumental part. I think I was 6 or 7...and I was wondering who or what that band was and that was one of the moments I remember that turned me towards liking rock. It's amazing how I still remember that. Not my most favorite band but certainly up there for me.

JM was what I would call a Ecstasy artist there are several that have that kind of ability in my opinion, he would take you to another place of time. these type of artists can sweep the masses in a kind of enchantment that is like tasting ambrosia. Morrison is just one of these artists, and in my opinion Joplin, Hendrix and Prince have this kind of ability with their music. fyi other Todd McFarlene made a figure of J Morrison and you know its not bad.

It is a bummer the very last gigs of the Door's with Jim were never filmed in Dec. of 1970...that very last gig in New Orleans would have been pricely..the only time the band performed LA Woman and a few other's like riders on the storm live with Jim behind the mic.
