Well right now for me it has to be a song by FREDDIE KING that ERIC CLAPTON recorded called " Have You Ever Loved A Woman "......The song tells the story.....lol

For me it is The Doors, The Crystal Ship. haha.  I think it is an amazing song, and for me it represents saying goodbye to something that meant a lot but entering something new, to put quite generally and vaguely.  More of, saying goodbye to something or someone that meant a lot but was at a different place as it says "Deliver me from reasons why you'd rather cry, I'd rather fly".

What I love about metephoric songs is that they can be interpreted in SO many different ways by the listener-which can make them either extremely relateable, poetic, or beautiful, or for some like listening to a foregin language.

so yah.lol.
