Very true! Personally, I would have to say “With A Little Help From My Friends” by Joe Cocker - such a raw version of this song.

aerosmiths version of come together is still my favorite. although i've never been a big u2 fan, their version of helter skelter is pretty good.

If you like Aerosmith's cover of Come Together, you'd probably love the one by The Brothers Johnson.

Wow, there are so many that are incredibly good. There are also so many that are incredibly bad too, lol. Other than the ones already mentioned here, I think Ben Harper does an excellent version of Strawberry Fields Forever. Earth Wind and Fire's Got to Get You Into My Life is well done, I think. The Wallflowers I'm Looking Through You. I actually kinda like Oasis' cover of Within You, Without You. Aimee Mann and Michael Penn's Two of Us. Rufus Wainwright, Across the Universe. Hard to pick just one!

Just like it's hard to pick a favorite Beatles song, it's hard to pick a favorite cover-version of a Beatles song. But here's mine:

Aerosmith and Motley Crue do great versions of Helter Skelter - also like Aerosmith's I'm Down. Type O Negative's medley of Day Tripper, If I Needed Someone and I Want You is worth a listen
