1964 – The Beatles first film, “ A Hard Days Night” has a Royal premiere at the London Pavilion, and is later nominated for two Academy Awards.
1965 – The Jefferson Airplane from in the Haight Ashbury district in San Francisco. Original singer Signe Anderson quickly quits the band and is permanently replaced by Grace Slick in 1966
1967 – Brian Jones is hospitalized for strain and fatique.
1969 – Mick Jagger starts work on his first feature film, the title role in Ned Kelly
1973 – “ Keep Yourself Alive” is released as the first single from Queen.
1974 – Bad Company, their debut album is released under the Swan Song label owned by Led Zeppelin. It’s fist single “Can’t get enough” soon tops the American charts.
1980 – Thirty six are arrested at a Ted Nugent concert in Hollywood Fla., for pot smoking, bottle throwing and other offences.
