1963 – Phil Spector has his first #1 hit with the Ronettes “Be My Baby”. This song and three others will sell a million copies before years end.

1968 – Super Session, the highly acclaimed collaboration of Al Kooper, Stephan Stills and Mike Bloomfield, enters American rock charts.

1970 – Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary is arrested for taking “immoral liberties” with a fourteen-year-old girl.

1973 – Gold Record awarded to Paul McCartney for “Live and Let Die” the James Bond movie theme.

1976 – George Harrison is found guilty by a judge for subconsciously plagerizing the Chiffons “He’s So Fine” in composing his hit single “My Sweet Lord”
