1971 – Zappa and The Mothers of Intervention record “Just Another Band from LA” live at UCLA.

1974 – Peter Wolf of the J Geils Band marries actress, Faye Dunaway, in Beverly Hills after dating for nearly a year.

1979 – A crazed Marshal Tucker Band fan in California steals a car from the parking lot outside the Long Beach Arena and drives right in , smashing down two rows of metal doors and a concrete wall inside.
